Embodied Consent

2-day workshop for all bodies

Date: TBC

Bring clarity, communication, and integrity to your personal relationships.

Based on Dr. Betty Martin’s Wheel of Consent

Boundaries, communication, and consent are paramount to any respectful exchange.  Yet many of us move too fast into intimacy without awareness of our limits, boundaries, and true desires.

This workshop is an immersion in the dynamics of giving and receiving based on Dr. Betty Martin’s Wheel of Consent.  You will explore what you like and don’t like when it comes to giving and receiving touch, how to ask for it, and how to negotiate so that you can clearly articulate what you want and do not want.  Together we will create a playful and respectful container to learn how to give and receive touch with presence, attention, and trust.

I welcome both men and women, singles and couples and all sexual orientations.  There is no nudity, nor explicit sexual touching of any kind in this workshop.  I am dedicated to the highest degree of safety and clarity for all participants.

This workshop will help you…

♦  connect more deeply to your body and learn to discern what you like and don’t like.

♦  reverse your programmed orientation from taking care of others to focusing on your own desires more.

♦  discover how to trust your body and learn not to settle for conventions, numbness, habits, or what others want.

♦  have more responsible and respectful intimate connections.

♦  become more intentional with giving and receiving rather than operating on autopilot.

♦  learn to trust and express your unique yes/no/maybe with a full heart.

♦  create more awareness around who is giving and who is receiving.

♦  practice negotiating agreements and navigating boundaries in a safe container.

♦  learn to relate to others from respect, trust, honesty, and authenticity.

♦  access, trust and take full responsibility for your needs, feelings, and desires.

♦  develop more presence and intimacy with yourself and others.

♦  practice being comfortable with saying and hearing no.

More details…this workshop:

♦  does not involve nudity or sexual touch of any kind.

♦  involves a combination of talking, touch, boundary exercises, and playful exploration.

♦  is relational, body-oriented, and experiential.

♦  is trauma-sensitive.

♦  is rooted in consent and respects your boundaries – you never have to do anything you don’t want to do.

Many of us spend our whole lives running from feeling with the mistaken belief that you can not bear the pain. But you have already borne the pain. What you have not done is feel all you are beyond that pain.
